Rasmina Calabajos got to know the dance field from an early age at „O. Stroia” Choreography and Dramatic Art High school in Cluj-Napoca. When she was a senior in high school, she won an honor at the National Choreography Contest, Contemporary Dance Department, Arad, 2006. She went on to study contemporary dance at The National University of Theatre and Film, Choreography Department. Her graduation performance was “Do I Dance for Me?”, for which she won the Award for Best choreographer at the Graduation Gala in 2009. She also won a Master’s degree in choreography, within National University of Theatre and Film.
She participated to numerous workshops of contemporary dance, contact improvisation and, last but not least, to a workshop with Akram Khan Company in London.
She danced in Gigi Căciuleanu’s shows “Oui ba da”, ,,D’ale Noastre” and “Folia, Shakespeare & CO”, but also in performances at Operetta and Musical Theatre ,,Ion Dacian”, such as “Romeo and Julieta” and “Rebecca”.
She is a dance teacher and choreographer, having worked for six years with children and adults.
